contact between campers and companions/volunteers
We understand and see the strong friendship and bonds that are created at camp between campers and their companions. Camp Quality prohibits volunteers from having contact with campers and their families through forms of communication like phone calls, emails, texts, social media or social gatherings and any other communication or activity that is not organized or sponsored by Camp Quality.
Social Media and Camp Quality
Families and campers with social media accounts are asked to respect the privacy of our camp volunteers. While it is possible for campers and families to locate volunteers online, Camp Quality does not permit any volunteers to find or add campers (and their families) to any online platform.
ELECTRONICS AT CAMP
Camp Quality aims to be an unplugged community. At camp we focus on building a community where campers are encouraged to try new things, make new friends and spend time outdoors. Electronic devices often remove or detach a camper from this camp community and can even prompt a camper to miss home. Our experience is that campers thrive when they can learn to build friendships, communicate and problem solve with those around them.
-
We strongly encourage campers to leave their phones at home.
-
If a camper does bring a phone, it will be placed in a Yondr pouch upon arrival and locked.
-
Campers will keep the pouch with them but will not be able to access the phone except during scheduled times.
