Safety First!
Make sure to wash your hands before starting the project. And remember to HAVE FUN!
Materials Needed
Translucent plastic container (x. vinegar jug)
Scissors
Permanent markers
99% isopropyl alcohol
Medicine dropper or q-tip
Spray varnish
Hole punch
Yarn or string
Beads
What to Do
Cut out your bookmark from the jug (in whatever shape you want) and punch a hole at the top.
Colour the entire surface with permanent markers. Be careful not to smudge it while colouring!
With the medicine dropper or q-tip, drop alcohol onto the surface of the bookmark and watch your colours blend!
Set it aside to dry.
Once dry, spray the bookmark to seal the colours in place.
Thread string through the hole punch in the top of the bookmark and tie it.
Tie beads to the top of the string.
Voila! Use your book mark to save your spot in your favourite book!
