Stories worth writing home about

At Camp Quality this summer, kids affected by cancer will make memories, laugh with friends, and send a few letters home along the way.

Inside those letters are stories about campfires, trying things for the first time, and the simple joy of getting to be a kid again. For children affected by cancer and blood disorders, those moments mean everything.

Every summer, campers arrive at Camp Quality locations across Canada at no cost to their families. While their medical journeys can be incredibly difficult, camp offers a place where laughter comes easily, connections are formed, and kids can step away from hospitals and treatments to just be themselves.

We’re excited to share letters from the Hooper family’s campers Lyn, Evie, Sully, and Celeste. Behind every letter is a child discovering confidence, friendship, and adventure in a safe and supportive environment. You’ll see little snapshots of the friendships, discoveries, and joy that make camp so meaningful. These letters give a glimpse into the magic of camp straight from the people who are affected most, our campers.

This summer, more than 400 campers affected by cancer will count on Camp Quality for a week of friendship, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

With your help, even more children will get the chance to write their own letters home from camp, filled with stories of joy, adventure, and belonging. And that’s a letter every family deserves to receive.
