2,500km to raise $2,500

Hi everyone, my name is Jeff Wiebe, and this summer I am taking on a 2,500 km cycling journey to raise $2,500 for children impacted by cancer for Camp Quality Southern Ontario. Camp Quality is a week long summer camp that provides fun and
smiles to children impacted by cancer and blood disorders.
My Why
In September 2004, my family’s life changed forever when we heard the words no parent ever wants to hear: “your daughter has cancer.” At just 2 years old, my youngest daughter, Katie, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. What followed were long hospital stays, chemotherapy, and many surgeries. In March 2005, Katie became cancer-free and rang the bell. This is a moment I will never forget as a father.
After her remission, we were introduced to summer camps through McMaster Children’s Hospital for families impacted by childhood cancer. These camps became incredibly meaningful to us, giving our kids a place to just be kids again, build friendships, and create lifelong memories. Years later, Katie became a Registered Nurse to give back. She also reconnected with Camp Quality Southern Ontario, where she has volunteered and now helps organize the camp. Camp Quality continues to be a place of community, support, and joy in her life.
Now it’s my turn to give back.
Over the next three months, I am committed to riding 2,500 km to help more children and families experience the same joy and connection that meant so much to ours. Every donation, no matter the size, will help create unforgettable camp experiences for kids who need it most.
Thank you for supporting this journey.
