Meet Logan

Logan is one of our dedicated companions. Companions build friendships, encourage confidence in campers, and bring endless energy to camp. Volunteers like Logan truly ignite the laughter that fills our days. We are so grateful to all of our returning volunteers for the joy, energy and connection you bring to camp year after year.

Can you share a favourite or funny memory from camp?

What does being a companion mean to you?

One of my favourite memories from camp is spending time down at the lake. I loved helping campers get onto the launchpad and watching how brave they were as they took the leap. Seeing their faces light up with excitement and pride was such a joy. It’s one of those simple moments that captures everything I love about camp

Being a companion means helping a camper have an amazing summer and supporting them as they try new things. It’s about being someone they can trust, cheer them on, and make sure they feel included and confident. To me, it’s all about creating a space where they can grow, explore, and just be themselves.

How do you build connections with campers at camp?

I build connections by finding shared interests, really listening to what campers care about, and joining in on the activities they enjoy. Whether it’s a game, a craft, or just chatting during downtime, I try to meet them where they are. When campers feel heard and understood, the connection grows naturally.

What’s one moment that really stuck with you from your time with CQ?

A moment that really stuck with me from Camp Quality was seeing everyone fully embrace being themselves, campers and companions alike. I loved watching people be silly, laugh freely, and let go of anything holding them back. It’s also special seeing companions feel like they’re truly part of the camp magic too. We get to enjoy the experiences right alongside the campers, and that sense of community is something I’ll never forget.
